Job description

DIRECT HIRE: A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Commercial Electrician in the Greater Philadelphia, PA area. Commercial knowledge is required, with light residential experience preferred.

Salary: $21/hr - $26/hr

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 40 hours + OT

Responsibilities:

• Test electrical systems and continuity, ensuring wiring, equipment, and fixtures operate safely and correctly.
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems such as switch gear, motor controls, electrical panels, CT cabinets, conveyor systems, lighting, data networks, and power supplies.
• Work with rigid and EMT conduit, including bending and installation.
• Assist with commercial fit-outs.
• Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
• Operate aerial lifts safely.
• Complete paperwork such as work orders and timecards accurately.
• Inspect systems, equipment, or components for hazards, defects, or the need for repairs, ensuring compliance with electrical codes.
• Troubleshoot electrical components, wiring diagrams, transformers, motors, panels, and circuits.
• Diagnose malfunctions using test equipment and hand tools, and correct issues.
• Perform thorough electrical inspections, communicate findings effectively to customers and supervisors.
• Support operational policies, procedures, and system operations.
• Travel as required.
• Perform physically demanding tasks, including trenching, lifting heavy objects, and working in confined spaces.
• Maintain professionalism, attention to detail, good communication, and a strong work ethic.

Experience/Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of electrical experience.
• OSHA training preferred.
