Securitas USA is seeking a diligent Security Operations Center (SOC) Operator for weekend shifts in Newark. This part-time role offers Saturday and Sunday coverage with options 7:00am–3:00pm or 3:00pm–11:00pm, and a pay rate of $24.00 to $25.00 per hour.

The position is fast-paced and involves monitoring multiple computer systems to detect and respond to security threats, protecting both digital and physical assets.

Qualifications

• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze alerts, assess risks, and prioritize incidents effectively.
• Problem-Solving: Quick decision-making under pressure to respond to security events.
• Experience: Prior work as a SOC operator, security analyst, or similar role is often preferred.

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Security Operations Center (SOC) Operator to oversee and maintain our security systems.

Part time Weekends

Saturday and Sunday 7:00am to 3:00 pm or 3:00pm to 11:00pm

Pay Rate $24.00 to $25.00

This position is very fast paced. with use of multiple computer systems.

Responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to security threats to protect an organization's digital and physical assets.

Skills and Qualifications

• Continuous Monitoring: Maintaining constant surveillance over security systems to detect anomalies, intrusions, or emergencies.
• Incident Detection and Verification: Assessing alerts and alarms to determine legitimacy and criticality, minimizing false positives.
• Threat Response: Initiating protocols to mitigate threats, which may involve dispatching security personnel, contacting emergency services, or activating alarms.
• Access Management: Monitoring and managing access credentials and entry/exit points in secure facilities.
• Collaboration: Coordinating with other teams to ensure adherence to security policies and protocols.

SOC operators typically require:

Position Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED Required.
• Standard computer / technology skills needed.
• Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner.
• Must be able to conduct patrols throughout shift.
• Must have great attention to detail and have the ability to remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Previous security experience highly preferred.
• Active NJ SORA license or the ability to obtain one, valid driver's license, and open availability is required for this position.
