The Durst Organization is seeking a Security Officer II for the Midtown Security Command Center in New York, NY. The role focuses on monitoring and operating security and life-safety systems, serving as the central point of communication during routine operations and emergencies.

Responsibilities include managing alarms, dispatching personnel and responders, maintaining logs, and supporting incident responses while upholding confidentiality and security procedures across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Experience in security, command center, dispatch, or emergency ops preferred.
• Strong communication, observation, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, holidays and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV, access control, fire/life-safety, intrusion, intercom, and other security systems.
• Dispatch Security Officers, building personnel, and responders as needed.
• Maintain logs, records, and incident reports of significant events and responses.
• Review surveillance footage and preserve security information as directed.
• Operate Command Center equipment per procedures.
• Assist with emergency response, evacuation, and life-safety procedures.
