Job summary

Comfort Suites Colonial Heights is seeking a Hotel Maintenance Technician to keep HVAC, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems in peak condition, ensuring reliable operation and guest comfort.

In this role you will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, execute repairs, maintain accurate work orders and inventory records, and collaborate with management to schedule tasks with minimal disruption.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in general maintenance or related technical field.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel between hotel facilities as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems to ensure optimal operation.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from hotel staff and guests, diagnosing issues and completing repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Collaborate with management and other departments to schedule maintenance activities that minimize disruption to hotel operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and hotel policies by following proper procedures and using appropriate personal protective equipment.

About the Role:

The Hotel Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of all hotel facilities and equipment. This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and executing repairs to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for guests and staff. The technician will work proactively to identify potential problems before they escape, holding safe and dependable maintenance for guests and staff. Minimum Qualifications:
