Job summary

Wisconsin Electric Power, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Combustion Turbine Engineer at our Oak Creek, Wisconsin location. The role supports planning, outages, maintenance, and plant reliability with a strong emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Preferred: Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years in power generation with combustion turbine experience (GE 7FA/7EA). End Date: 09/10/2026.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of power generation experience with combustion turbine technology.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and operational support for power plant operations and maintenance activities, capital improvement efforts, and reliability programs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to power plant equipment, maintenance and performance.
  • Analyze data to improve plant reliability and thermal efficiency; recommend upgrades or operational changes.
  • Manage O&M and capital projects, including scope, schedule, budget, and contractor oversight.
  • Promote safe, reliable and economical electricity generation.
  • Participate in a 24x7 on-call support role on a rotating basis.
