Fives North American Combustion, Inc. in Cleveland, OH is hiring a Combustion Lab Test Technician to join our lab team on site. You will perform assembly, testing, and teardown of test hardware for burners and combustion systems, ensuring accurate data collection and adherence to procedures.

The role requires strong hands-on skills with lab equipment, wiring up to 460VAC, instrumentation, and CAD/drawing literacy, with a focus on safety and quality in an industrial lab environment.

Qualifications

• Experience safely operating lab/test equipment.
• Ability to read piping schematics and P&ID drawings.
• Wiring experience from low voltage DC to 460VAC; read wiring diagrams.
• Instrumentation experience with pressure transmitters, thermocouples, RTDs.
• Reading mechanical/electrical drawings; CAD drawings a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, test, and teardown equipment in the lab following procedures.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness in the lab at all times.
• Record data accurately with a computer and report results to engineers.
• Communicate test data and recommendations to engineering; suggest improvements.
• Repair lab equipment and implement improvements to the lab.
• Fabricate test parts using mills, lathes, and welding equipment.
