Job summary

O-I is seeking a Combustion Engineer at our Windsor, CO facility to optimize industrial combustion and glass furnace operations, ensuring efficient fuel use, environmental compliance, and extended furnace life.

Responsibilities include monitoring furnace performance, air/fuel balance, and heat transfer, while supporting continuous improvements in safety, energy efficiency, and product quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required or equivalent with related experience.
• Two years of experience in a glass container manufacturing facility preferred.
• Experience with industrial combustion systems, furnace operations and safety practices expected.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze furnace performance, air and flame conditions, and heat transfer parameters.
• Support continuous improvement in energy efficiency, quality, and safety across operations.
• Prepare and review reports on furnace operations and implement corrective actions to maintain furnace life.
