TREO Staffing is seeking an experienced Fitter/Welder Combo to join our team in Harahan, LA. The role focuses on fitting, layout, and multi-process welding across structural and pipe work in marine and industrial environments.

Responsibilities include interpreting drawings, measuring and marking, cutting, aligning, tack welding, and completing welds using SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW per standards. Overtime opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Blueprints and drawings: interpret technical drawings, isometric prints, and schematics.
• Layout and measurement: lay out dimensions using squares, tape measures, and levels.
• Cutting and preparation: operate torches, saws, and beveling tools to shape metal.
• Alignment and tacking: position pipes, plates, or structural steel and tack weld for alignment.
• Multi-process welding: SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW.
• Welding positions: flat, vertical, horizontal, overhead per standards.
• Equipment setup: rigging, adjusting, and troubleshooting welding machines.

Responsibilities

• Interpret technical drawings and lay out parts to exact tolerances.
• Measure, mark, cut, and prepare metal components.
• Align and tack weld components for proper fit.
• Perform welding using SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW across positions.
• Set up welding equipment and troubleshoot as needed.
