Job summary

Turner Industries is seeking a Combo Welder for a position in the Cameron, LA area. The welder arranges, fits, and welds fabricated components to assemble tanks, pressure vessels, and pipe systems.

Non-exempt role; reports to the Foreman; duties follow specific procedures and are regularly checked. Essential qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, 4+ years of welding experience, weld-test eligibility, and welder certification.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent.
• Minimum four (4) years of experience in specified skill.
• Must be able to pass a weld test before being hired.
• Must be certified as a welder.
• Per diem available, must be at least 50 miles from the jobsite to qualify.
• Post offer drug/alcohol screen and safety policy acceptance.

Responsibilities

• Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly and welding.
• Sets up equipment and welds parts; ensures alignment and fit.
• May weld pipe and structural parts using various welding processes.
• Follow safety requirements and company procedures.
