Job summary

Cascade Natural Gas Corporation in Hermiston, Oregon is seeking a skilled welder-pipefitter to join our distribution work crew. You will perform joining operations with oxyacetylene, arc welding and heat fusion to build and maintain high- and low-pressure piping systems.

Responsibilities include reading construction drawings, ensuring safety first, and completing required training and tests. Must reside within 20 miles of the district office and be able to obtain a CDL if needed.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• 6+ months progressive pipefitting experience.
• Minimum 1 year welding training/experience in gas/utilities.
• Ability to read and interpret legible construction drawings.
• Completion of Cascade welding and fusion school course.
• Valid first aid card.
• Ability to obtain commercial driver's license.
• Willingness to reside within 20 miles of the reporting office.

Responsibilities

• Perform joining operations using oxyacetylene, arc welding and heat fusion to construct and maintain piping systems.
• Lay out, measure, cut, fit and prepare materials for joining.
• Follow safety protocols to protect self and others from gas hazards.
• Reside within 20 miles of the office as required by the posting.
• Complete company qualification tests and maintain proficiency per procedures.
