Job summary

Smithfield in Wisconsin is seeking team members for our production plant. The role involves manual tasks on the line with focus on safety, quality, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

You will work closely with crew leaders, follow PPE and safety requirements, and support ongoing training. The position offers competitive hourly wages, comprehensive health insurance, education benefits, and opportunities for professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Operate/assist in processing and packaging line per procedures.
• Maintain equipment and product flow, monitor pickle levels and pump performance.
• Apply lot marking tickets to each lot and ensure proper line setup.
• Assist crew leaders and supervisors and perform other duties as assigned.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Pick up comb and impale flank end of pumped belly, pressing down on comb.
• Pick up belly and comb and hang on hook conveyor.
• Place lot marking tickets on first and last four bellies of each lot.
• Make sure pump is delivering pickle at all times.
• Maintain pickle level in pump tank.
• Hanging bellies to match tree layout spec.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Crew Leader and Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)preferred
• Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
• Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.

TOOLS & EQUIPMENT:

• Combs and aprons.

Bump cap, hair/beardnet, eye protection/goggles, hand protection, hearing protection, wire mesh face shield and safety shoes
