Job summary

Reliability & Performance Technologies (R&P) in Gautier, MS, is seeking a Combat Systems/SSDS test engineer to support the PMS 377 LPD program in a fast-paced defense environment.

You will provide on-site engineering and testing for SSDS interfaces, assess installation progress, conduct light-off activities, and support government test teams and readiness events, leveraging Linux CLI, radar interfacing, and test equipment.

Qualifications

• Linux CLI, networking hardware, and radar interfacing.
• Knowledge of SSDS combat systems and shipboard testing.
• Experience with government test teams and military standards.
• ACAT LPD program experience 5+ years.
• Navy Class A/C school preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site combat systems engineering and support for SSDS interfaces.
• Assess installation and integration progress.
• Conduct light-off activities: power, connectivity, operability, reliability, and safety.
• Perform combat system testing for Government Test Team.
• Validate program baselines against hardware/software configuration.
• Support ship checks, ship trials, and readiness events.
• Review CDLLs and deliverables for accuracy against requirements.
• Provide technical management and design reviews for shipbuilder/Gov.
• Familiar with test equipment: Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, Phase Sequence Indicators.
• Assist in ensuring SSDS and related systems compliance.
