Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or three or more years of experience in business administration, marketing, accounting, or related administrative field.
  • Track record of administrative work experience with a Native language program, tribal government, or other relevant organization.
  • Prior experience managing budgets and preparing reports.
  • Strong computer skills including creating spreadsheets, presentation, and other public relations material.
  • Ability to effectively to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret related program documents, and have strong administrative writing skills.
  • Strong organizational and research skills.
  • Must possess a Valid Oklahoma Driver's License and be insurable under the Comanche Nation's Motor Vehicle Policy.
  • Must be willing to submit to and pass Drug Testing.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Comanche Language Department Program Coordinator supports the Department Director by managing the administrative work related to planning, directing and coordinating the operational activities of the various language programs. Key skills for this position include problem solving, listening to and incorporating feedback from many sources, research and data collection, gathering and synthesizing information, communicating with varied constituencies, building and sustaining relationships with diverse groups, and perseverance to overcome challenging issues and situations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Supports the Director and other team members by scheduling meetings, coordinating logistics, facilitating communication, departmental purchasing, and other administrative functions of the department.

REPORTS TO

Will report to Comanche Language Department Director. Will assist in program supervision and Administration, as needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Employee must be able to climb, crouch, pull, push, reach, stand engage in repetitive motions, grasp, walk, feel, touch, speak, hear and see.
  • Employee must be able to move and lift computing equipment.
  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5pm. Some weekends.
  • Travel Required: Occasionally
WORK ENVIRONMENT

Professional and Confidential. Most of the work will be completed in an office setting with some in state and out of state travel required.
