Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring for Warehouse Associates in Columbus, Ohio on a second shift with weekly pay. The role involves packing, loading/unloading trailers, and operating various warehouse equipment in a safe, organized environment.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and some warehouse experience, with certification for powered industrial trucks preferred. Safety gear is provided and training is offered on the job.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months related warehouse experience required.
• One year or more related warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to operate and maintain powered industrial trucks (stand-up and sit-down forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks) intermediate required.
• Ability to read and perform basic math in English for safety and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Package, kit and/or assemble orders and materials.
• Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers; ensure scanning is correct; train dock staff on new procedures.
• Perform picking and packing duties and check for product or container damage.
• Move materials and perform related transactions per location policies.
• Maintain housekeeping and participate in team improvement activities.
