Job summary

Dinsmore & Shohl LLP seeks a Business Development Manager to support the Corporate and Finance departments in Columbus, OH. This onsite role partners with attorneys to translate priorities into actionable business development activity and to shape strategy across internal partners.

You will build growth plans from the ground up, coordinate pitches and proposals, and equip teams with research, messaging, and coaching to pursue new opportunities and strengthen client relationships.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years of progressive business development or marketing experience; law firm experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field (JD/MBA a plus).
• Strong ability to build trusted relationships across offices and functions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM, proposal-management, or research tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop actionable business development strategy aligned with firm priorities.
• Coordinate pitches, proposals, RFPs, and client presentations.
• Conduct market, client, and competitive research to inform planning.
• Coach attorneys for client conversations and meetings.
• Maintain accurate opportunity and relationship data in the CRM.
