Job summary

Zimmerman Associates, Inc. seeks a Senior-Level Columbia Class Submarine Infrastructure Analyst to direct shore infrastructure and TRF transition work at the Washington Navy Yard. You will coordinate with NAVFAC, CNIC, and TYCOMs to ensure funded, compliant readiness for Columbia-class maintenance.

The role demands deep defense infra experience, DoD clearance eligibility, and strong client-facing leadership. Hybrid on-site work at WNY with occasional travel may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree in Engineering, Operations Research, Business Administration, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of experience in engineering, science management, operational facility planning, or major defense infrastructure/acquisition programs.
• Significant background supporting U.S. Navy submarine programs, naval installations, or fleet support activities.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance. Preference for Active Secret.
• Must be available to work on-site at the Washington Navy Yard.
• Exceptional client-facing skills with cross-functional government/contractor leadership.
• Strong analytical abilities translating ship specs into shore infrastructure requirements.
• High initiative, self-direction, and reliability in driving long-term milestones.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead shore infrastructure, facility modification, and TRF readiness for transition to Columbia-class SSBNs.
• Draft, review, and manage transition agreements among PMS 397/396, NAVFAC, CNIC, and TRFs.
• Collaborate with TRFs, Public Shipyards, and NAVSEA to audit readiness of industrial assets.
• Review POM requirements to ensure MILCON and FRM funding for out-year infra needs.
• Evaluate historical data to identify lessons learned and mitigate facility risks.
• Interface across NAVSEA, NAVFAC, CNIC, TYCOMs, and TRF leadership on timelines.
