Licensed Colorists at Madison Reed Hair Color Bar are essential to our guest experience, delivering quality services and excellent care. You should have a passion for beauty and hair color, helping guests find the best color and executing services with perfection.

The Madison Reed Licensed Colorist embodies our mantra of “confident is the new beautiful,” and is the expert on consultations, hair color and retail products, blowouts, memberships, and building relationships with guests and team members. The role requires meeting daily targets, maintaining a clean environment, and supporting team collaboration.

This position reports to the Manager and can be full or part-time based on business needs, with availability during peak times.

We offer a competitive starting hourly rate of $20-$22, plus commission and tips, influenced by location, skills, and experience. Commissions and tips depend on individual performance.

Responsibilities:
  1. Provide a guest experience aligned with our core values of Love, Joy, Trust, Courage, and Responsibility.
  2. Perform consultations and services including shampooing, styling, and chemical treatments, ensuring high quality and guest satisfaction.
  3. Help guests select suitable products and colors, staying flexible and punctual.
  4. Contribute to sales goals through retail, memberships, and additional services.
  5. Maintain cleanliness, merchandising, inventory, and asset security in the Hair Color Bar.
  6. Follow company protocols and systems.
  7. Increase revenue through upselling services, memberships, and products.
  8. Participate in ongoing training and stay updated on Madison Reed products and offerings.
  9. Support and mentor Assistant Colorists through demonstration and coaching.
Qualifications:
  1. Active cosmetology license in the applying state.
  2. At least 1 year of experience as a colorist in a salon setting.
  3. Strong communication and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Comfortable using point of sale systems.
  5. Fluent in English.
