Job summary

North Reading School District is seeking a Flag Squad Advisor at North Reading High School to oversee the colorguard during rehearsals and competitions and to choreograph flag and dance routines that enhance the marching band's field show.

The role requires at least two years of relevant experience, the ability to teach flag components, and citizenship, residency, or work visa status. A stipend-based position accompanies duties within the Extracurricular department.

Qualifications

• Strong technical background in marching band auxiliary units.
• Ability to demonstrate and teach flag components.
• At least two years of prior experience.
• Ability to independently compose, arrange, and choreograph visual flag and dance routines that complement the marching band show.
• Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the Colorguard at rehearsals and competitions.
• Choreograph auxiliary work, flag work, and body for the marching band shows.
• Assist in the design and implementation of the marching band show.
• Other duties as assigned by Marching Band Advisor, Assistant Marching Band Advisor, Director of Athletics and Student Activities, and/or their Designee.
