VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System is seeking one Full-Time Colorectal Surgeon to join our Surgical Service Department. This role serves veterans in a dynamic, supportive environment with a comprehensive federal benefits package.

Responsibilities include evaluating patients across settings, performing operative procedures, and coordinating multidisciplinary care. The position requires full medical licensure in the United States and board certification as applicable.

Qualifications

• US citizenship requirement per VA policy
• MD/DO with full, unrestricted license to practice in the US
• Residency in an approved core specialty leading to board eligibility
• Board certification or equivalent for faculty/PRP if applicable

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients in outpatient, inpatient, emergency and perioperative settings
• Perform operative and bedside procedures within granted privileges
• Provide perioperative management and follow-up care
• Coordinate multidisciplinary patient care and supervise staff
• Maintain medical records in CPRS/Cerner per VHA policy
• participate in surgical call coverage and clinic schedule
