Job summary

Adventist Health Bakersfield seeks a fellowship-trained Colorectal Surgeon to join a new multi-specialty outpatient clinic in a growing Central California community. The role emphasizes establishing a colorectal practice with access to robotic-assisted surgery and tumor board collaboration.

You will collaborate with AIS Cancer Center and a broad team, including medical oncology, radiation oncology, and primary care, within a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Colorectal Surgery.
• Fellowship training in Colorectal Surgery.
• California license or eligible and MedStaff credentialing compliance.

Responsibilities

• Establish a colorectal surgery practice within a new multi-specialty outpatient clinic.
• Collaborate with AIS Cancer Center and multidisciplinary teams including oncology and radiation therapy.
• Participate in tumor boards and leverage robotic-assisted surgery when available.

New multi-specialty facility conveniently located with access to a 254-bed acute care hospital and accredited comprehensive cancer program

As part of this role, you’ll work closely with Adventist Health’s AIS Cancer Center—an accredited, comprehensive cancer care facility offering advanced diagnostic, medical, radiation, and surgical oncology services. This partnership supports a seamless, multidisciplinary approach to patient care and access to clinical trials, tumor boards, and state-of-the-art technology.
