Job summary

Heed Health in Aspen, CO is seeking EMTs to join our flexible event-medic team. You will provide first aid, perform Basic Life Support, and assess when escalation to emergency services is needed, ensuring participant safety at a variety of events.

You’ll work with a dedicated team, choose shifts to fit your schedule, and gain diverse, hands-on experience across multiple settings. The role offers competitive hourly pay and the chance to support events from schools to private gatherings.

Qualifications

• EMT certification and current licensure preferred.
• Ability to respond quickly in high-stress environments.
• Excellent communication with event organizers and EMS.
• Flexible schedule to cover events in various locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-aid treatment for injuries or illnesses.
• Administer Basic Life Support, including CPR, as needed.
• Evaluate conditions and escalate to emergency services when required.
• Coordinate with EMS to transfer patients as appropriate.
• Contribute to safe, well-managed events across diverse venues.

Key Responsibilities:

• First-Aid Administration : Offer first-aid treatment to patients reporting injuries or illnesses, ensuring prompt and effective care.
• Basic Life Support : Be prepared to administer basic life support measures, including CPR, to stabilize patients in critical situations.
• Emergency Care Escalation : Evaluate patients' conditions to determine if they require escalation to emergency care and make informed decisions for their well-being.
• Coordination with Emergency Services : Communicate and coordinate with emergency services to facilitate patient transfers when necessary.
