Canby Builders Supply Co. is seeking a Paint Store Sales Associate to help customers select paints, coatings and related supplies, and to provide color-matching and product guidance.

You will mix colors, manage stock, and handle POS transactions while ensuring safety and a clean, appealing department. The role supports the DIY community and professional contractors in a busy retail setting.

Qualifications

• Provide excellent customer service and assist customers with paint decisions.
• Ability to mix and tint paint colors using DataColor and Accutinter equipment.
• Knowledge of paint products, coatings, primers and related supplies.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and determine painting/project needs.
• Recommend paints, primers, stains, brushes, rollers and related supplies.
• Mix colors using DataColor software and Accutinter equipment; operate Harbil Mixer.
• Process transactions at the POS system.
• Maintain organized, stocked and clean paint department.
• Answer questions on product applications, prep and cleanup.
• Assist with re-orders and receiving shipments.
• Follow safety procedures for paints and chemicals.
