Job summary

DayGlo, a global manufacturer near Cleveland, seeks a Quality Control Technician to perform laboratory testing and inspections of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure quality and customer specifications.

You will collaborate with Quality, Production, and R&D to identify deviations, document results, and support continuous improvement in a fast-paced chemical production environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a laboratory, quality control, manufacturing, or chemical-processing environment preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to follow written procedures and standardized testing methods.
• Basic computer skills and ability to enter/retrieve data.
• Effective communication with Production, Quality, and other departments.
• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple samples/testing requests.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing and able to work overtime as required by business needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine physical, chemical, and instrumental testing of raw materials, in-process batches, and finished products.
• Conduct color evaluations and comparisons using laboratory methods and instrumentation.
• Operate, calibrate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment per procedures.
• Communicate test results to Production and Quality personnel promptly.
• Support investigations of nonconforming materials and product quality issues.
• Assist with data management and documentation such as COAs and quality reports.
