Join to apply for the Color Lab Technician - 3rd Shift role at PPG.

We are seeking a proactive 3rd Shift Color Lab Technician at our Delaware, Ohio plant. Your main responsibilities include managing the upkeep of the color lab during the night shift, ensuring all operations are ready for the morning team. Key tasks involve cleaning, restocking supplies, and performing maintenance such as filter changes and equipment cleaning. This role is vital for maintaining a safe and efficient laboratory environment.

This is a 3rd shift position with a schedule of 10:00pm-6:30am.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of laboratory equipment and workspaces to ensure safety and organization for the morning shift.
2. Restock lab materials and supplies for the next day’s operations.
3. Conduct filter changes and clean equipment following established protocols to maintain performance.
4. Monitor inventory levels of lab materials and communicate needs to team members to ensure readiness.
5. Assist in preparing color samples and formulations for the Refinish Color Matching team.
6. Ensure all laboratory activities comply with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

1. High school diploma or GED equivalent.
2. At least 1 year of lab experience.
