Qualifications

  • Completion of a general surgery residency and a fellowship in colorectal surgery is required.
  • MD or MD/PhD degree and board certification/eligibility by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery are required.
  • Academic appointment at Harvard Medical School is anticipated, commensurate with experience and scholarly contributions.

  • Supervise and teach medical students and surgical trainees in a highly collaborative academic environment.

Job description

The Division of Colon & Rectal Surgery at Mass General Brigham is seeking to recruit a colorectal surgeon, with specific interest in conditions of the pelvic floor, to help advance the growth of the service line across the MGB system.

Eligible candidates must have completed a general surgery residency training program and fellowship training in colorectal surgery. Suitable candidates will have an MD or an MD/PhD and be board certified/eligible from the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colorectal Surgery.

Appointment as an Assistant Professor or Associate Professor of surgery at Harvard Medical School will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience, academic achievements and teaching contributions. The candidate should be eligible for, and maintain, full medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Our surgeons provide outstanding clinical care in a highly collaborative and academic work environment that includes supervising and teaching medical students and surgical trainees.
