Colon and Rectal Surgery Nurse Practitioner Job with Banner Health in Glendale, AZ

Join our team as a Colon and Rectal Surgery Nurse Practitioner at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in Glendale, AZ. This is an excellent opportunity for a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with colorectal surgical experience to work with a highly trained multidisciplinary surgical team.

About the Role

The APP will be responsible for rounding on hospital patients, seeing patients in the clinic, and providing surgical first-assist in the OR. Candidates should be autonomous, eager to learn, and capable of working collaboratively in an innovative environment focused on patient excellence.

Qualifications

• Board Certification as a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
• Prescribing privileges, including DEA license for controlled substances
• ACNP with RNFA certificate required
• Current CPR, BLS, and ACLS certifications
• Colorectal surgery/procedural experience preferred; new graduates with general surgery knowledge are encouraged to apply
• Comfortable with providing first-assist; familiar with robotic, laparoscopic, and open cases

Practice Details

• Full-time, Monday – Thursday 8 AM – 4 PM; Friday 8 AM – 1 PM
• Clinical and OR practice, including call responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive patient care from initial contact through post-op follow-up
