Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Michigan is hiring a Porter to support vehicle preparation and shop upkeep. The role focuses on ensuring customer vehicles are pre-washed and cleaned before repairs, and maintaining cleanliness of the office and production areas.

You will also assist with vehicle transport to sublet locations and overall shop organization. Candidates should have at least a high school diploma or GED, the ability to multitask, and reliable attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High School diploma / GED preferred.
• Ability to multitask.
• Automotive experience preferred.
• Clear close vision required.
• 18 years or older.
• Valid Driver's license.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Maintain daily housekeeping of the interior of the office: empty trash, clean floors, dust countertops and work areas.
• Maintain daily housekeeping of production area: empty waste cans, sweep floors, dispose of unwanted parts, place tools in proper location.
• Keep parking lots and grounds neat and orderly; shovel sidewalks when needed.
• Pre-wash customer vehicles prior to repairs.
• Clean interior and exterior of customer vehicles after repairs are complete.
• Transport customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs.
