Job summary

Suburban Chevrolet Cadillac of Ann Arbor, part of Lithia & Driveway, seeks a Collision Shop Manager to lead the service team and drive performance in an OEM franchise collision center.

You will oversee estimating, production, and repairs, ensuring OEM standards, profitability, and excellent customer experience while developing your team and implementing process improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of collision center management or leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of estimating, repair planning, production management, and OEM repair procedures.
• Proven ability to recruit personnel and lead teams to achieve financial and operational goals.
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of CSI, cycle time, technician productivity, and collision center KPIs.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily collision center operations, including estimating, production, body, paint, and delivery processes.
• Drive revenue, gross profit, cycle time, CSI, and productivity performance.
• Oversee DRP, customer-pay, internal, and warranty repair work to maximize shop efficiency and profitability.
• Ensure repairs meet OEM standards, insurance guidelines, and company quality expectations.
• Build and maintain relationships with insurance partners, customers, vendors, and dealership leadership.
• Monitor work-in-process, estimate accuracy, supplements, and repair timelines.
• Recruit, train, coach, and develop collision center employees.
• Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Analyze key performance metrics and implement process improvements.
