Job summary

Better Collision Centers in Charleston, SC is seeking a Collision Repair Technician to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition while delivering a world-class customer experience. You’ll perform thorough disassembly, repair, and reassembly, ensuring structural integrity and OEM-level quality.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus a technical school program or apprenticeship in auto body repair.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair
• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision
• Ability to work with other repairers within an auto body shop
• Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies
• Thorough understanding of how to use tools required for the trade
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work safely in a noisy environment

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles
• Repair and realign frames, panels, and body components
• Use advanced tools and repair methods to achieve OEM-level quality and safety standards
• Communicate and collaborate with teammates to meet repair timelines and KPIs
• Deliver repaired vehicles with confidence, ensuring work is complete and customer-ready
