Job summary

Summit Truck Bodies, LLC is expanding its workforce for a Collision Repair and Refinish Technician. The role involves preparing truck bodies for painting, sanding and masking, applying bondo and seam sealer, and finishing surfaces to ensure high-quality paintwork.

Typical duties include reading work orders, maintaining safety protocols, and keeping the work area clean while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with good standing MVR.
• Experience in paint, collision repair or related field preferred.
• Some technical training helpful.
• Ability to use hand and power tools and equipment.
• Ability to read gauges, measurement tools, blueprints and work orders.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Must pass a General Abilities Assessment, background check, physical and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work by studying work orders, bill of materials and blueprints.
• Sand, mask and prep bodies and parts before paintwork.
• Apply bondo/seam sealer and prep for final finishing and sanding.
• Wet sand and polish custom-colored bodies and doors.
• Dispose of hazardous waste per federal and state laws.
• Wear PPE and maintain safe work environment.
• Participate in continuous improvement programs with initiative.
