The Body Shop Estimator is a frontline role in a fast-paced Florida body shop, examining damaged vehicles, generating precise repair estimates, and guiding guests through options, timelines, and insurer interactions.

Ideal candidates bring 2–5 years in collision repair estimation, strong attention to detail, and familiarity with CCC ONE, Audatex, or Mitchell software. You’ll collaborate with technicians and insurance partners to ensure compliant, timely repairs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical or vocational training in collision repair preferred.
• 2-5 years of experience in collision repair or estimating required.
• Prior experience in a dealership or insurance estimating environment preferred.
• I-CAR or OEM certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect damaged vehicles and assess repair needs in line with industry standards.
• Prepare accurate repair estimates using approved estimating systems.
• Communicate repair options, timelines, and insurance processes to guests.
• Coordinate with insurance adjusters to obtain approvals and supplements as needed.
• Review and adjust repair plans based on supplemental damage findings.
• Work closely with technicians to ensure repair accuracy, quality, and efficiency.
• Document all vehicle damage with notes and photographs.
• Maintain compliance with OEM repair procedures, insurance guidelines, and dealership policies.
• Monitor repair progress and update guests throughout the process.
• Ensure all repair orders and invoices are complete and accurate.
• Support cycle time goals, profitability targets, and guest satisfaction standards.
• Maintain relationships with insurance partners, vendors, and dealership staff.
• Address guest questions and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
