Job description

As a Penske Collision Repair Appraiser, you are responsible for writing collision repair estimates.

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Strong communication and people management skills
  2. Working knowledge of body shop maintenance operations
  3. Completing repair estimates in Adjustrite system and downloading into Summit
  4. Communicating with internal and external customers
  5. Performing other projects and tasks as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications:

  1. At least 3 years of body shop estimating experience required
  2. High School Diploma or equivalent required
  3. Vocational/technical school preferred
  4. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook required
  5. Strong written and oral communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills required
  6. Ability to understand and comply with specific instructions, guidelines, rules, and regulations established by Penske management
  7. Ability to perform all work adhering to DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety and maintenance policies, including proper use of tools, PPE, and safety practices
  8. Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential
  9. Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, and work at the designated location
  10. Must complete Penske employment application, submit to background check and drug screening

This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive. The ability to work safely and maintain alertness is required. Associates must accept responsibility for their own safety and that of others.

Physical Requirements:

The physical and mental demands include frequent movement, standing, walking, climbing, bending, and sitting. Routine use of hands for operating tools, working at heights, in all weather conditions, and navigating a dynamic environment is required. The ability to lift up to 50 lbs/23 kg regularly and up to 100 lbs/45 kg occasionally is necessary. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for individuals with disabilities.
