Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking a Porter to support our shop by cleaning customer vehicles before delivery and maintaining the cleanliness of the shop and office facilities. You will help create a welcoming, high-quality environment and ensure vehicles are prepped and ready for repairs or delivery.

The role requires attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and a valid driver’s license. Prior automotive experience is favored, with a strong commitment to safety and customer service.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent WOW plan execution.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the office interior, including trash, floors, and countertops.
• Maintain daily housekeeping of the production area, dispose of waste, sweep floors, and organize tools.
• Keep parking lots and grounds neat, including shoveling sidewalks as needed.
• Pre-washes customer vehicles prior to repairs.
• Clean interior and exterior of vehicles after repairs are complete.
• Transport customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs.

Job Description:

The Porter complements quality repairs by cleaning customer vehicles prior to vehicle delivery. Maintains the appearance and cleanliness of shop and office facilities.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the office, including daily emptying of garbage cans, cleaning the floors, and dusting the countertops and work area.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the production area, emptying of waste cans, sweeping the floors, disposing of unwanted vehicle parts, and placing tools and equipment in their proper location.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion, including shoveling sidewalks when necessary
• Pre-washes customer vehicles prior to repairs beginning.
• Exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs are complete
• Transport of customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs

Education and/or Experience Required

• High School diploma / GED preferred
• Ability to multitask
• Automotive experience preferred
• Clear close vision required
• 18 years or age or older
• Valid Driver's license
