Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking a Porter to help support our collision and glass repair processes. The role focuses on keeping customer vehicles clean and ready for delivery, and maintaining a tidy shop and office environment.

You will perform pre- and post-repair cleaning of vehicles, assist with transportation to sublet locations, and help keep parking lots, floors, and work areas organized. Prior automotive exposure and attention to detail are valued.

Qualifications

• High School diploma / GED preferred
• Ability to multitask
• Automotive experience preferred
• Clear close vision required
• 18 years or age or older
• Valid Driver's license
• Strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW plan.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the office and production areas.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds in neat condition, including shoveling sidewalks when needed.
• Pre-washes customer vehicles prior to repairs.
• Exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs.
• Transport customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs

Job Description

The Porter complements quality repairs by cleaning customer vehicles prior to vehicle delivery. Maintains the appearance and cleanliness of shop and office facilities.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.

• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the office, including daily emptying of garbage cans, cleaning the floors, and dusting the countertops and work area.

• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the production area, emptying of waste cans, sweeping the floors, disposing of unwanted vehicle parts, and placing tools and equipment in their proper location.

• Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion, including shoveling sidewalks when necessary

• Pre-washes customer vehicles prior to repairs beginning.

• Exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs are complete

• Transport of customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs

Education and/or Experience Required

• High School diploma / GED preferred

• Ability to multitask

• Automotive experience preferred
