Job summary

Scharmach Automotive Group is seeking an experienced Auto Body Technician in Fife, WA to repair and restore vehicles to pre-accident condition, ensuring safety and customer satisfaction.

You will apply expertise in bodywork, alignment, and manufacturer guidelines to deliver high-quality repairs while collaborating with estimators and the paint team for seamless transitions between stages.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as an auto body technician or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in collision repair techniques, including structural and non-structural repairs.
• Familiarity with repair equipment, tools, and manufacturer repair guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Valid Washington State driver's license with a clean driving record.
• I-CAR certification or willingness to obtain certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assess vehicle damage and plan repairs with estimators.
• Perform structural and non-structural repairs, including dent removal, panel replacement, welding, and alignment.
• Sand, grind, and prime surfaces for refinishing.
• Reassemble vehicles ensuring proper fit and function.
• Operate frame straightening machines and MIG welders safely.
• Collaborate with the paint team for seamless transitions between repair and refinishing stages.
• Conduct post-repair quality inspections to ensure safety and aesthetics.
• Maintain accurate records of work and materials used.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and manufacturer guidelines.
• Adhere to safety and environmental regulations.

Salary Range: $25.00 - $35.00 Hourly

Pay range is $25.00 to $35.00 per flat rate hour

As a Body Technician at Scharmach Automotive Group, you will repair and restore damaged vehicles to pre-accident condition, ensuring safety and customer satisfaction. You will utilize your expertise in bodywork and alignment to deliver high-quality repairs that meet manufacturer and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess vehicle damage and prepare repair plans in collaboration with estimators.
• Perform structural and non-structural repairs, including dent removal, panel replacement, welding, and alignment.
