Job summary

BMW of Fairfax, a Sonic Automotive family dealership, seeks a Collision Center Assistant Manager to lead a profitable collision repair department, uphold staffing, safety, and productivity. The role includes staff coordination, scheduling, and ensuring quality work records.

Responsibilities include directing technicians, managing RO’s, ordering parts, monitoring productivity, and maintaining timeliness and guest satisfaction within a busy automotive environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• Authorized to work in the USA.
• Willingness to pass pre-employment testing (background checks, MVR, drug test, valid driver license).

Responsibilities

• Attend trade walks daily.
• Schedule all internal collision work.
• Direct and dispatch technicians and/or detailers specified RO’s.
• Create and maintain schedule for collision technicians and other associates.
• Monitors daily productivity reports and payroll records.
• Facilitate Writing and Booking all Used Car RO’s.
• Facilitate Ordering Parts and Billing out Parts for Used Vehicles.
• Facilitate sending out sublets and track their progress.
• Maintain service and detail timelines (turns) within 3 to 5 days.
• Ensure vendor repairs align with negotiated pricing.
• Forecast goals and objectives for the department.
• Hire, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor staff performance.
• Monitor department performance using reports and surveys.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local regulations affecting service operations.
