Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Palm Harbor, FL is seeking an Auto Body Technician to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition through careful assessment and precise repair. You’ll disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles while upholding speed, quality and customer excellence.

You will plan repairs, prepare cost estimates, use cutting tools and fillers, realign frames, replace parts and repaint to factory specifications. Team-oriented role with strong safety focus and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Technical school program completion or a 3-year apprenticeship is preferred.
• Ability to read job orders and follow repair instructions.

Responsibilities

• Plan repairs and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Use cutting guns, plasma cutters, jacks, hammers and pliers to repair sections.
• Hammer out dents and apply fillers for optimal bodywork.
• Realign chassis and frames to fix structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections and glass; repair interior parts as needed.
• Weld and fit parts; repaint to factory specs or equivalents.
• Complete work orders within labor guidelines and inspect for quality.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
