Job summary

Courtesy Chevrolet in California seeks an experienced Collision Estimator to join our repair team. You will inspect damages, assess repair scope, and prepare detailed estimates with parts and labor while communicating clearly with customers and insurers.

You must be knowledgeable of auto insurance estimating requirements, direct repair programs, and estimating systems. We offer a supportive family-owned environment, competitive benefits, 401(k), paid time off, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Experience with auto insurance estimating requirements and direct repair programs.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Working knowledge of estimating systems.
• Self-motivated, able to work in a fast-paced production shop.
• Strong sales orientation.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.
• Knowledge of CCC estimating system and I-Car certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles for damages and evaluate using visual inspection, road tests, and information provided by the customer
• Evaluate necessity and cost of repairs
• Communicate with insurance after reviewing damage
• Discuss damages with customer, repair process and timeline and costs
• Create accurate estimates that breaks out costs (parts, labor, etc.)
• Create work orders detailing all elements of repair
• Maintain communication with customer and answer questions as needed
• Keeps record of repair details and complete necessary paperwork
• Effectively manage multiple repairs simultaneously
• Implement an effective quality check process upon completion
• Provide exceptional customer service at all times
• Ordering, checking parts, taking quality photos
