Job summary

Saint Joseph’s College of Maine is seeking an Assistant Golf Coach to support the Athletics department by helping with leadership and team management, sport program development, and NCAA compliance. The role involves coaching, planning practices, recruitment, and coordinating schedules.

The successful candidate will foster a positive team culture, mentor student-athletes, and balance athletic commitments with academic responsibilities while collaborating with athletic staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience.
• Minimum of 5 years coaching at the collegiate level or comparable environment.
• National coaching certification preferred.
• Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with leadership and team management, ensuring alignment with NCAA standards.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate practice plans to develop players and team chemistry.
• Mentor student-athletes in athletic and academic endeavors.
• Assist with recruitment efforts targeting high schools and community programs.
• Coordinate practice, game, and team event schedules with Athletic Department personnel.
