Job summary

University of Maine is seeking an Assistant Athletic Trainer to provide athletic training services to student-athletes and assist in operating the sports medicine center. The role requires Maine AT licensure, NATA certification, and 2 years of collegiate experience, preferably at the NCAA Division I level.

The position offers a typical hiring salary of $52,500, commensurate with qualifications and experience; travel may be required and a valid driver's license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required, master’s preferred.
• 2 years as a collegiate athletic trainer preferred, NCAA Division I experience acceptable.
• Must meet State of Maine AT licensure standards.
• NATA Certified.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Computer proficiency.
• Previous experience using independent judgment and managing and imparting confidential information.
• Ability to lift loads up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to travel, normally requiring a valid driver’s license.
