Job summary

University of Maine in Orono seeks an Assistant Athletic Trainer to provide athletic training services to student-athletes and assist in running the sports medicine center. The position includes a typical hiring salary of $52,500.00, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The successful candidate will meet Maine AT licensure, hold NATA certification, and bring strong communication and computer skills, with the ability to lift up to 30 pounds and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; master’s preferred.
• 2 years as a collegiate athletic trainer preferred, NCAA Division I level preferred.
• Must meet State of Maine AT licensure standards.
• NATA Certified.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Computer proficiency.
• Previous experience using independent judgment and managing and imparting confidential information.
• Ability to lift loads up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to travel, normally requiring a valid driver’s license.
