Job summary

Umpqua Community College is looking for an Assistant Wrestling Coach to help develop student-athletes on and off the mat, working with the Head Coach and Athletic Department to foster discipline, teamwork, and accountability.

You will assist with scheduling, travel, academic progress tracking, and adherence to NJCAA rules while promoting a culture of sportsmanship and success for student-athletes.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of NJCAA codes and policies.
• Familiarity with UCC student policies and NJCAA drug/alcohol/tobacco policy.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Experience in wrestling as a player or coach.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Coach and Athletic Department to develop student-athletes on and off the mat.
• Schedule events and travel and ensure compliance with league rules.
• Track athletes' academic progress and support transfer processes.
• Ensure fundraising complies with NJCAA regulations and school policy.

Skills

Experience in wrestling

Knowledge of NJCAA Codes
