Job summary

College of Southern Nevada (CSN) in Las Vegas area is seeking a part-time student employee for Fall 2026 in Hospitality Management/Culinary Arts. The role supports kitchen operations, cleaning, restocking, and lab assistance with hours up to 20 per week and an hourly rate of $14.00.

For Semester/Term: Fall 2026. Hiring Department: Hospitality Management/Culinary Arts. Supervisor: Ernest Hofilena. College of Southern Nevada North Las Vegas Cheyenne Campus. Work Hours per week: up to 20. Hourly Rate of Pay: $14.00

Duties
  • General clean-up of kitchen after students are done for the day
  • Restocking food and supplies
  • Sorting and folding linen
  • Assisting dishwashers in restaurant lab

Work Experience in our Department supports the following Degree/Certificate Programs: Hospitality Management majors with emphasis in: Culinary Pastry Arts, Food and Beverage Administration

Required Qualifications
  • Employees must obtain and maintain, at their own expense, a Southern Nevada Health Department – Food Handler’s Safety Training card (may wait to be hired before obtaining card)
  • Ability to bend, stoop, stand and walk
  • Able to work with potential allergens including, but not limited to: nuts, fish/shellfish, eggs, milk, wheat, and chemicals

  • Be friendly, outgoing, and willing to learn; have a good understanding of diverse multicultural environments; be able to follow directions and communicate well; be punctual, reliable, and trustworthy.
