Job summary

Calhoun Community College is seeking an Assistant Volleyball Coach to assist with recruiting, practice planning and game management for the college’s volleyball program. Prior competitive playing and coaching experience is preferred and candidates must follow college policies and athletic department guidelines.

The role requires supporting supervision of players, organizing practices, and coordinating with administrators.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a High School Diploma and college coursework is required.
• A minimum of (1) year of experience successful teaching/coaching volleyball is required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the supervision of players on and off the court.
• Recruit the best possible student athletes to Calhoun, preferably in North Alabama.
• Report all prevalent activities and actions to the head coach, athletic director and the president.
• Follow the proper chain of command with any relevant issues in the college.
• Maintain a proper working relationship with all faculty and staff at Calhoun.
• Assist with facilities that are used by the volleyball team.
• Assist in organizing practices and game plans for the team.
• Instruct and coach position players.
• Coordinate facility use with other team coaches and proper supervisors.
• Participate in fundraising activities for the volleyball program and the athletic department.
