Job summary

A reputable higher education institution is seeking an Assistant to the Head Volleyball Coach. This position involves on-court coaching, student-athlete recruitment, and maintaining a strength and conditioning program. Candidates should be accepted into a graduate program, have volleyball experience, and demonstrate strong communication and analytical skills. This role supports the advancement of student-athletes in a community dedicated to diversity and inclusion and requires approximately 20 hours per week during the academic year.

Qualifications

• Current CPR / AED and First Aid certification, or eligibility to become current.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Able and willing to travel as needed, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• On‑court coaching and practice planning in conjunction with coaching staff.
• Student-athlete recruitment including visit day representation.
• Work with current student-athletes on academic progress.
• Maintain current strength and conditioning program.
