Ivy Tech Community College is seeking a tutoring center assistant in Valparaiso, IN to provide individualized and group tutoring, primarily for English courses, with flexibility for other subjects. This role supports the Tutoring Resource Coordinator and Lead Tutors while promoting the tutoring program to faculty and students.
The position emphasizes maintaining records, scheduling, and utilizing tools like EdReady, IvyLearn, and MyLab/Mastering to enhance learning outcomes.
Provide tutoring and other support services to students in a variety of subjects and courses offered by the college, with a primary focus on subject specific materials in accordance with education, experience, and expertise. Support requests from the Tutoring Resource Coordinator and Lead Tutors. Encourage students by providing a supportive attitude and helping build student confidence.
This position will primarily provide tutoring support for English courses; however, candidates with the ability to support additional subject areas are encouraged to apply.
