Job summary

Vanguard Group offers a Data Scientist internship under its College to Corporate program, a 10-week, full-time paid internship designed to deepen analytics, ML, and AI capabilities. You will work on real projects, receive mentorship, and develop leadership skills in a collaborative setting.

You will apply data-driven methods, transform data for modeling, and communicate insights to business stakeholders while gaining exposure to AI-driven solutions and model operationalization.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a master’s degree or PhD program in Data Science, Analytics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Strong interest in advanced analytics, ML, AI and using data to solve complex business problems.
• Experience through coursework, research, internships, or projects using SQL, Python, statistical methods, ML libraries, or cloud-based analytics tools.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and/or leadership aspirations.
• Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher preferred.

As a Data Scientist intern, you’ll help apply advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI to solve business problems and support data-driven decision-making. In this internship you will:

What it takes:

• Enrolled in a master’s degree or PhD program — or advanced graduate study — in Data Science, Analytics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Strong interest in advanced analytics, machine learning, AI, and using data to solve complex business problems.
• Experience through coursework, research, internships, or projects using tools such as SQL, Python, statistical methods, machine learning libraries, or cloud-based analytics tools.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and/or leadership aspirations.
• Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher preferred.
