Job summary

Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City seeks an Academic Coordinator for the Upward Bound program. You will support the Assistant Director by guiding 78 participants from two local high schools through educational planning, college readiness, and postsecondary pathways.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in related fields, experience with UB or federally funded programs, and strong organizational and communication skills. Occasional evenings/weekends and travel are possible.

Qualifications

• Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in education, sociology, psychology, counseling, human relations or related fields.
• Experience serving populations eligible for UB services and working in federally funded programs with high school students.
• Valid Oklahoma driver’s license and ability to drive a 15-passenger vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Monitors, advises and provides educational counseling for program participants.
• Will make weekly-to-biweekly visits to Western Heights and Putnam City West to recruit and meet with participants.
• Documents student academics, class schedules and transcripts via Blumen database.
