Job summary

Easterseals Massachusetts seeks two College Navigators to support students with disabilities on campuses and virtually, guiding them through college life and academics. You will coordinate with campus staff, shadow experienced team members, and help students set achievable goals for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience with young adults with disabilities preferred.
• Familiarity with campus learning platforms (Blackboard, Moodle, Canvas).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Zoom.

Responsibilities

• Develop action plans each semester addressing each student’s goals for transition to college.
• Provide 1:1 coaching to support goals in higher education and independent living.
• Support executive functioning skills such as time management and organization.
• Identify barriers and problem-solve with students and college staff.
• Create a supportive environment between college and student.
• Advocate for student needs and communicate them to college staff.
• Maintain documentation monitoring student progress and goals.
• Communicate with referring agencies and program manager (monthly notes, weekly check-ins).
• Meet site standards and protocols of work sites and referring agencies.
• Assist students with navigating Blackboard, Canvas and Moodle.
