Job summary

Laredo College seeks a full-time Mathematics faculty member to teach courses across multiple modalities, including face-to-face, online, and hybrid formats. The instructor will develop objectives, align curricula with THECB and SACSCOC standards, and ensure rigorous academic content while providing timely feedback and guidance to students.

The role requires office hours on campus, participation in governance, and ongoing professional development to support student success and program

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mathematics or a Master’s with at least 18 graduate hours in Mathematics.
• Preferred: a minimum of three years of teaching experience in higher education.
• Must be able to meet the program’s accreditation and curriculum standards.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in the designated discipline across multiple modalities (face-to-face, online, hybrid, dual enrollment).
• Develop, organize, and manage course objectives to ensure alignment with THECB’s ACGM/WECM and SACSCOC standards.
• Deliver effective instruction, assess student learning, and provide timely feedback.
• Maintain attendance records, submit grades on time, and participate in campus governance and service activities.

Education

Master’s degree in Mathematics or Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in Mathematics

Three years of teaching experience in Higher Education
